Dyersburg, TN - April 18, 2025- Since launching in 2020, CJ’s Kitchen has become a familiar sight across West Tennessee, serving up comfort food with heart. The mobile eatery was founded by Calvin Jarrett and his wife Nicole, who together built a loyal following as they traveled from town to town in their food truck.

The couple’s journey came to a heartbreaking turn in late 2024 with Nicole’s passing, but Jarrett has continued their shared mission—bringing flavorful, affordable meals to communities throughout the region.

Jarrett says the idea for CJ’s Kitchen was born out of personal hardship. After being diagnosed with a heart condition that forced him to leave his previous job, he found a new purpose behind the wheel of a food truck.

“I wanted to create something that could offer something for everyone, no matter their taste or their budget,” Jarrett says.

That vision comes to life in CJ’s Kitchen’s diverse menu, though the standout favorite remains the truck’s signature dish: catfish and wings, a combination that keeps customers coming back.

Wherever CJ’s Kitchen parks, the mission remains the same—serving great food and building community, one plate at a time.
