Dyersburg, TN - August 6, 2025 - Chris Donaldson, CEO of The Mill Workspace in downtown Dyersburg, has developed a proven marketing strategy to help organizations of all sizes market events. On Tuesday, August 5, he shared his insights during a Lunch and Learn hosted by the Dyersburg-Dyer County Chamber of Commerce.
Titled “Marketing Events Effectively,” the hour-long session guided attendees through the key steps for creating a comprehensive events marketing plan tailored to social media, web platforms, and press outreach.
Building on a strategy introduced in a previous workshop, Donaldson explained how platforms like Facebook and Instagram can be used to cohost events with speakers, while tools such as Eventbrite help manage RSVPs and minimize no-shows.
He emphasized the importance of consistent, high-quality graphics and demonstrated how Facebook Events and Eventbrite can be leveraged to boost engagement and registration. Donaldson also shared practical tips for working with the media, including how to increase the chances of getting coverage on-air or through local papers and digital outlets.
Attendees walked away with a clear, actionable roadmap—equipped with tools like Meta for scheduling and Canva for creating polished, attention-grabbing visuals.
