McKenzie, TN – October 29, 2025 - The Mill Workspace and the McKenzie Chamber of Commerce & Industry recently partnered for a marketing workshop designed to help small businesses shine during the holiday season. On Tuesday, October 28, small business owners from across Carroll County gathered at the McKenzie Chamber of Commerce & Industry for a hands-on Holiday Marketing Workshop, led by marketing strategist Elizabeth Pritchett.
The session, part of The Mill’s regional business education series, focused on simple, effective ways to boost visibility and sales during the holiday season.
“Q4 can account for up to 40% of a business’s annual revenue,” said Pritchett during the presentation. “Your customers are ready to spend, but they’re also overwhelmed with choices. The key is standing out and building real connection.”
The workshop broke down practical ways for business owners to create “R.E.A.L.” holiday content, content that Relates, Edutains, Attracts, and Leads. Attendees learned to rethink how they present their products and services, shifting focus from what they sell to the experience they provide.
“You’re not just selling products, you’re selling experiences and connections,” explained Pritchett during the workshop.
Participants walked away with ready-to-implement ideas including:
- Creating offers like “Gifting Made Easy” bundles or “Holiday Favorites” menus.
- Building content around stories, connection, and service rather than just sales.
- Leveraging urgency and exclusivity, from early-access events to countdown deals.
- Simplifying social media with quick, repeatable formats and strong calls-to-action.
The workshop also encouraged businesses to make the holidays about more than sales by giving back, rewarding loyal customers, and engaging their communities.
The Holiday Marketing Workshop was sponsored by The Mill Workspace and the McKenzie Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
