Milan, TN – August 5, 2026 - The Mill Workspace will be hosting the workshop “Intro to Excel: Building Your Foundation” on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. The workshop will be held at Hargett Materials, located at 6012 Windsor Drive, Milan, TN. This workshop is held in partnership with the Milan Chamber of Commerce.
Leading the workshop is Amber Brandau. Brandau has also spent the past five years helping individuals gain the skills needed for career advancement in her teaching role at the Workforce Development Center.
This beginner-friendly workshop is designed specifically for business owners, managers, and staff. Brandau says this workshop will allow learners to build a solid understanding of worksheets.
“Excel is the business standard for organizing and analyzing business data and essential for business owners and managers to operate a business,’’ stated Chris Donaldson, CEO of The Mill.
“Participants will learn how to navigate the Excel interface, enter and format data, and use basic formulas and functions to perform simple calculations,” explained Brandau.
By the end of the class, Brandau says participants will feel confident using Excel in professional settings.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their personal computers to the workshop; however, it is not a workshop requirement.
